Caring for All Creation

         At the Table

After driving, eating is the second most
creation-impactful, human activity.*

Our congregation’s celebration of the gift of “daily bread”
can lead to more creation-honoring food choices.

The At the Table portion of the Caring for All Creation series is built around a celebration of the harvest, a special worship service, and a personal action pledge requested from each member of a congregation.

  • Earth Ministry provides tools for organizing a "Food & Faith Sunday" event, a harvest celebration featuring an offering and sharing of locally-grown, organic foods.

  • Earth Ministry provides At the Table worship resources to assist congregations in creating a celebratory, meaningful worship experience.  These resources include prayers, sermon aids, suggested hymns, and more.

  • Earth Ministry provides "personal action pledge cards" - a pledge that congregants fill out as a way of committing to making more joyful and just food choices.

  • Earth Ministry provides related educational resources for children and information on Earth Ministry's adult education curriculum: Food & Faith: Justice, Joy, and Daily Bread.
