Caring for All Creation

In the Home

After eating, home maintenance is  the third most
creation-impactful, human activity.*

Our congregation’s celebration of healthy habitats can inspire us
to live more sustainably in our own.

The In the Home portion of the Caring for All Creation series is built around a  public celebration of congregants commitments' care for creation through their home-maintenance practices.

  • Earth Ministry provides simple evaluation tools for congregants to assess their home care and move toward more creation-caring practices.

  • Earth Ministry provides "At Home in Creation Sunday" worship resources to assist congregations in creating a celebratory, meaningful worship experience.  These resources include prayers, sermon aids, suggested hymns, and more.

  • Earth Ministry provides "personal action pledge cards" -- a pledge that congregants fill out as a way of committing to home-maintenance practices that are environmentally friendly.

  • Earth Ministry provides related educational resources for children and information on an adult education resource: the Household Ecoteam Workbook.
