Mud
Bay Reflection and
Restoration Day, January 2003

When the site crew arrived about an hour prior to the volunteers, they were
panicked. The area we were supposed to be working in was covered by 3 feet
of tide. But, by the time the volunteers arrived, the fast-moving tide had
receded enough for us to begin digging out the
gumweed (Grindelia integrefolia).
